Professional Therapeutic Carers

Parkerville Children and Youth Care are seeking Professional Therapeutic Carers to join our teams in Geraldton and Carnarvon. These roles are offered on either a 7 days on 7 days off roster, or a 10 days on 4 days off roster. Parkerville Children and Youth Care are offering funded FIFO opportunities from Perth to Geraldton and Carnarvon. 

The Out of Home Care programme at Parkerville Children and Youth Care Inc. provides a holistic, multi-disciplinary and therapeutic care service for vulnerable children. Our aim, as a team of committed staff, is to bring healing and growth to the lives of vulnerable children. The Professional Therapeutic Carer provides the primary and holistic care for up to 4 children who live in purpose-built homes on the Parkerville campus and throughout the community. The position is accountable to the Team Leader and senior staff members for the care of the children in line with Parkerville Children and Youth Care processes, case plan and individual care plans.

Consistent with our organisation’s purpose, the Marketing and Communications Manager plays a key role in the management and engagement of Parkerville Children and Youth Care’s communications, marketing and brand strategy. Reporting to the Executive Manager Strategy and Business Development, the Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of high-quality outputs including content creation, marketing campaigns, graphic design, digital marketing and social media management.

Parkerville Children and Youth Care has partnered with Innovation Unit to co-design a new model of Out of Home Care which places children and young people at the centre of our service delivery to facilitate better life outcomes. Our project team is implementing a pilot model to prepare both our organisation and sector for a radical new approach we believe will make a significant difference to the life outcomes of children and young people in WA.

 

Parkerville Children and Youth Care have an exciting new opportunity for a Learning Lead to support the newly created Out of Home Care project team. The Learning Lead is an integral part of Parkerville’s Radically Personalised Care out-of-home care pilot (the OHC Pilot). The Learning Lead is responsible for maintaining the rhythm of the pilot and ensuring the significant learning that will arise from piloting and ensure that prototyping informs ongoing design and delivery decisions in real time. The Learning Lead will oversee the direction of research and evaluation, deploying and commissioning developmental methods that reflect the participatory approach and emergent nature of the pilot design.

Parkerville Children and Youth Care Inc. have an exciting new opportunity for a Family Link Worker to join the Out of Home Care project team on a part-time to full-time basis. The Family Link Worker is a new and innovative role that is an integral part of Parkerville’s Radically Personalised Care out-of-home care pilot (the OHC Pilot) and the ongoing transformation of Parkerville’s out-of-home care model. The Family Link Worker is responsible for building connections with the child, identified as part of Parkerville’s OHC Pilot, their immediate and/or extended family, the child’s Parkerville Team Leader and their Department of Communities Case Worker. We have flexible opportunities ranging from part-time to full-time opportunities for a Family Link Worker within both Midland and Geraldton.

Fixed-Term Part-Time

 

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist who is looking for a new challenge? Parkerville Children and Youth Care (Inc) has an exciting new opportunity to be part of a dynamic team of professionals within our Geraldton service.

 

Our Geraldton team are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to work in Early Intervention and Prevention with children aged 0-18 years, playing a key role within the Foster Care and Family Group Homes, as well as the wider community. Our Out of Home Care team specialises in early childhood development and trauma, where you will have the opportunity to facilitate parenting programs and workshops to assist in empowering parents and caregivers in guiding their child’s age-appropriate development.
