The Out of Home Care programme provides a holistic, multi-disciplinary and therapeutic care service for vulnerable children and young people. Assigned Case Worker – Belmont Youth Programme
Full Time on a Fixed Term Contract
76 hours per fortnight over a four-week rotating shift basis
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified, committed and energetic people to work in our Belmont Youth Programme. The role requires that you work on a rotational shift basis, including day evenings, nights and weekends shifts. The service operates 365 days a year.
The successful applicant will work within a supportive and therapeutic environment where young people are guided both emotionally and practically for them to achieve their personal goals.
The role will take a lead in the creation and review of an assigned Young Person Individual Therapeutic Care plan and be part of a multi-disciplinary Care Team. This will include regular correspondence with various stake holders including the Department of Communities and the Education Department.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in working with “at risk” young people and / or experience in a relevant residential setting
- The ability to support young people to meet their agreed case management plans and develop independent living skills
