Charity Lunch 2013

The 2013 Parkerville Children and Youth Care Charity Lunch was once again held at the Crown Perth Grand Ballroom on Friday, 18 October 2013.

This year was the event’s ninth and saw some 750 guests in attendance to help Parkerville celebrate our 110th anniversary and raise much needed funds for our many services and programmes that assist children, young people and families who have experienced trauma from abuse.

Entertainment this year was provided by Network Ten funny-man, Tom Gleeson and a panel of some of Australia’s finest Test Cricketers including Dennis Lillee, Merv Hughes, Damien Fleming, and former Australian coach, Mickey Arthur. ABC Sports Anchor Trevor Jenkins hosted the panel discussion while another Network Ten personality, Tim Gossage, did a stellar job fulfilling Master of Ceremonies and auctioneer duties for the day.

Guests were also joined by 20 of this year’s Miss Universe WA contestants who did an amazing job assisting with the raffle and live auction where guests bid on an array of fantastic items and experiences including escapes to the beautiful South West complete with helicopter transfers, stunning Rosendorff diamond jewellery, a European holiday package with VIP tickets to the British Open and London’s West End among other things, a money-can’t-buy collection of fine wines, lunch aboard a multimillion dollar Sunseeker motor yacht and accommodation packages courtesy of Karma Resorts, Bali; Cable Beach Club, Broome; and Crown Perth.

All in all the 2013 Charity Lunch was a success and a huge thank you must go to all the sponsors, donors, volunteers and guests who gave so willingly of their time and money to help ensure another successful lunch. The date has already been set for 2014. So, if you’d like to join us on Friday, 17 October 2014 at the Crown Perth Grand Ballroom for the 2014 Parkerville Children and Youth Care Charity Lunch please register your interest at administration@parkerville.org.au
