Latest COVID-19 Update
COVID-19 precautions and changes to services Following the announcement made by the Premier on Sunday 31 January, Parkerville Children and Youth Care has put in place its COVID Safe Plan to ensure the safety of our team, the children, young people and families we serve and the broader community.
The COVID Safe Plan arrangements remain in place until 6pm Friday 5 February, pending any further instruction from Government Parkerville Children and Youth Care is an essential service provider so will continue to operate wherever possible in a modified form, with all appropriate health and safety precautions in place.
This includes the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Please note:
- Our face-to-face clinical/therapeutic and support services will now be provided via telehealth, facetime, MSTeams, or in ways you have agreed with the person you are working with.
The services that this refers to includes:
- Therapeutic Family Services/Psychology Services
- CSATS
- Medicare
- MOMO and Reconnect
- Child Advocacy Support Services/Multiagency Investigation Support Team (MIST)
- Support and Counselling Services (SACS)
- Our Education, Employment and Training (EET) service will continue to support all the enrolled young people via remote access as agreed between the young people and our team.
- Our Youth and Youth Homelessness Services will continue to operate in a modified way, all information about these changes are available upon referral or enquiry.
The services this refers to are:
- Armadale Youth Accommodation Service (AYAS)
- Young Womens Program (YWP)
- Our Out-Of-Home Care services will also be safely modified but will continue to operate with increased supports as required.
- Our Child and Parent Centers, and other School Based Support Services (SBSS) will be closed in line with school closures.
Public access to our offices will be limited, with only pre-approved people permitted on site (with all social distancing, mandatory wearing of masks and other hygiene requirements).
