Fixed Term Full Time
The Out of Home Care programme at Parkerville Children and Youth Care (Inc) provides a holistic, multi-disciplinary and therapeutic care service for vulnerable children. Our aim, as a team of committed staff, is to bring healing and growth to the lives of vulnerable children.
We are seeking an experienced Professional Therapeutic Carer to provide therapeutic care to children who have experienced trauma from abuse. Applications are particularly encouraged from Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people.

This will involve everyday tasks such as preparing meals, arranging clothing/laundry, driving to/from school and out of school activities, watching the children play sport and ensuring their home is clean and tidy. You will also be expected to attend meetings as a part of your role.
To be considered, you must have previous direct care experience working alongside children with a trauma history and/or a relevant Human Services qualification.
