Research, Innovation & Advocacy for Impact

Turning insight into action by connecting research, innovation, and the voices of those we serve.

At Parkerville Children and Youth Care, our research, evaluation, and policy advocacy are distinct but interconnected efforts, each grounded in our commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people, and families across Western Australia.

Our research and evaluation work are guided by our Research and Advocacy Framework and shaped by ethical, inclusive, and participatory principles. We develop, commission, and share studies that are informed by lived experience and best practice, generating insights into what works, for whom, and why. These insights support evidence-based service delivery and help us build a robust foundation for innovation and continuous improvement.

In parallel, our policy advocacy draws on this evidence base and is driven by the expertise of our practitioners and the voices of those we serve, to influence and nudge systems and decision-makers. Through submissions, briefings, and engagement with government and other stakeholders, we advocate for more responsive, equitable, and child-centred policies.

Together, these efforts help us move from insight to impact: supporting children, young people, families and communities today, while working to transform the systems of tomorrow.

We invite you to explore the reports and submissions below to learn more about the evidence and ideas that shape our work.
